KARYOに設けられた六席の立礼茶寮。杉皮の壁や、杉皮をレジンに封じ込めたシェルフなど、木の表情を生かした設えが茶の時間を包み込む。茶懐石を味わう場として、建築・素材・食・文化がひとつながりになるよう設計された空間。
A six-seat seated tea room at KARYO, designed for serving tea and kaiseki cuisine. Cedar-bark walls and shelves with cedar bark encased in resin bring the texture of trees into the interior. Architecture, material, food, and cultural practice are brought together in a space designed for an intimate tea experience.
